About Charm City Electric
Founded by U.S. Army veteran and third-generation electrician Joseph Cherny, Charm City Electric has been Baltimore's most trusted electrical contractor since 2010 — built on military discipline, honest pricing, and 15+ years of proven results.
From the U.S. Army to Baltimore's Best
Joseph Cherny served in the U.S. Army before founding Charm City Electric in 2010. The same values that guided his service — discipline, accountability, and mission-first thinking — are the foundation this company was built on. For more, visit JosephCherny.com

Joseph is a third-generation electrician and U.S. Army veteran whose professional background combines hands-on electrical work, formal licensing, and military training.
Starting with just a truck and a toolbox in 2010, Joseph built Charm City Electric on a foundation the Army taught him well: show up prepared, do the work with integrity, and never leave a job half-finished. No excuses, no shortcuts.
That culture carries through to every technician on our team today. When we send someone to your home, you're getting a professional who's been held to a higher standard — because that's the only standard we know.
Today, Charm City Electric serves homeowners and businesses across Baltimore and the surrounding counties, backed by Master Electrician License #14248 and over 15 years of work that speaks for itself.
